                                            Chapter 8

                                 Sorrow Deepens With Cleaning
        
    Jax looked around the room, looking at the mess that he and Jeff had created. There

was sauce on the wall, milk on the teacher's chairs, and bread crumbs on the floor. Then

in the kitchen, there was piles and piles of dishes that were gonna take a while to

clean.. " Wow this is gonna take a while," said Jax as he looked at the mess." Well I

might as well get started, not like some one else is gonna come and help," Jax chuckled to

himself at his rather ludicrous joke. " Let's see where they keep the broom," Jax searched

and searched and finally found the broom, he decided to start sweeping up the bread

crumbs.

        While he was cleaning, he did not notice but there was a very dark creature, it

was one of the teachers Darkrai. Darkrai chuckled as he watched him sweep," Look at that

lowly human, why the council of five have any interest in him is just so strange to me,"

Darkrai looked at the human," I wonder what he is thinking right now. Hmmmm... well I

guess I could figure out but to read human thoughts disgusts me." So while Jax was

sweeping and listening to music in the iPod he had in his pocket, Darkrai went inside to

hide in the shadows and entered Jax's thoughts so that Jax could still clean but unaware

that anything was inside him.

       "With humans you never know what they are thinking, could be something gross and

disgusting," Darkrai shivered as he thought of the possible things Jax could be thinking.

Finally after searching for few minuets Darkrai found Jax's current thoughts," AHA! Now

let's see what he's thinking," Darkrai wanted to know so that if he was thinking bad

things about the teachers he could punish him even more.

        "Sigh I told my mom I wouldn't get in any trouble, well at least Jeff wasn't

punished", thought Jax still unaware of anyone in his head." I wonder if Jeff is mad at

me. Well I would be, I mean what kind of roommate forgets to wake up the other, then make

him late and cause him to cut through the Teacher's Lounge." Then Jax remembered," Oh yeah

the teachers...," this is what Darkrai was waiting for he was waiting for Jax to bad mouth

him and the others," I should go apologize to them, I mean it is my fault after all, and

that Mr. Darkrai, Boy I sure must've made him mad for him to talk to me like that,"

Darkrai could not  believe his ears. He was expecting this rant of how bad they were, but

no Jax was apologizing, he wasn't feeling sorry for himself at all. Darkrai thought it

might be some trick so he decided to keep listening." I hope that I didn't do anything to

terribly offend him, oh man I hope I didn't offend Jeff as well, or any of the other

teachers," Jax was honestly crying, but just a little bit.

         Darkrai couldn't believe it this young man was crying out of not self pity, but

out of the thought that he might of offended others. Darkrai left Jax's mind and went out

the doors without him noticing.

        Now Darkrai's opinion of Jax had changed but just a little bit." So what do you

think of our little friend here," said a pokemon in the shadows, he emerged from the

shadows to be just Blazekien," do you still have the same opinion as you did

before,"Blazekien chuckled as he ask Darkrai as he was startled from his train of thought.

" No this human is more gentle hearted then I expected, I thought that all humans were

worthless but now I know better. Maybe the two humans on this boat are what the prophesy

foretold," Darkrai cleared his throat meaning that he was going to say part of the

prophecy" The human male will inherit the powers and technique of ole', and the woman the

wisdom and defense of those long ago..." Darkrai was interrupted by the sound of footsteps

hearing the human child coming," quick act natural," said Darkrai.

        The female child walked up to them and said," Hey this the place I have to clean?"

         "Ahem uh yes," Darkrai said seeing Blazekien give him the stink eye." Someone

else has already started to clean in there so just ask him what to do," Darkrai said,"

Well guess we will be of then, good bye." The two Pokemon turned around and walked into

the darkness disappearing from sight.

         The young girl shrugged and opened the door," Um hello." Jax took one ear bud out

and turned around to see who was talking to him. But what he saw when he turned around

wasn't a Pokemon it was a human.
